ROLLBALL’S NEW-DESIGN High -density 400G QSFP-DD DAC Cables
Data center, enterprise and high-performance computing environment need flexible and clear 50g, 100g, 200g and 400g cables for interconnection between in rack and adjacent rack. With the development of 400g technology, 400g direct connect cable suitable for short distance data center interconnection has begun to be mass produced and put into the market, including 400g DAC and 400g AOC.
At present, there are two types of packages for 400g DAC and 400g AOC: qsfp-dd and OSFP, both of which adopt pam4 electric modulation format of 8 * 50GB / s. In addition to the 400g direct connection cable, there are also 400g DAC high-speed branch cable and 400g AOC active branch cable. This type of branch cable uses a 400g connector at one end and several connectors with the same low speed at the other end (the total speed is 400g).
Rollball’s QSFP-DD(Double-Density) passive copper cable assemblies double the number of high 25G/lane NRZ and 50G/lane PAM4 when compared to the existing 100G QSFP cabling systems from 4 to 8 lanes. The QSFP-DD cables enable 200G or 400G in application lengths from 0.5 meter up to and including 2.5 meter in lengths.
